Canadian PM gathers support for Ukraine and secures attendance at G20 summit in APEC

At the G20 Summit, November 15-16, 2022, the Prime Minister will support the Indonesian Presidency, including its agenda for finding solutions to food and energy insecurity, climate change and health.

Meanwhile, at the APEC Economic Leaders Meeting on November 18, 2022, Prime Minister Trudeau will reaffirm Canada’s commitment to open up economic cooperation and eliminate trade barriers in the Indo-Pacific region.

The Prime Minister will then participate in the 18th Sommet de la Francophonie, from November 19 to 20, 2022. He will stress the importance of protecting democracy and human rights, defending and promoting the French language, and continuing to forge ties strong with its partners in the Canadian Francophonie. on all continents.

Trudeau’s office noted that he would also stress the importance of continuing to work with allies and partners to support Ukraine, as well as other countries most affected by the war.

Trudeau wants to call on countries around the world to stand united in the face of Russian aggression and pay attention to its impact on energy and food crises.
