Jakarta (ANTARA) – Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau arrived in Indonesia on Tuesday via Soekarno Hatta Airport, Tangerang, Banten, to attend the 43rd ASEAN Summit.
As shown in the live broadcast of the arrival of state leaders, monitored from the Media Center of the 43rd ASEAN Summit at JCC Jakarta, the plane carrying Prime Minister Trudeau landed at around 11:41 WIB.
He then left the plane door at around 11:55 a.m. WIB accompanied by his eldest son Xavier Trudeau.
The arrival of the Canadian Prime Minister was welcomed by the Governor of Banten Al Muktabar and a guard of honor.
Prime Minister Trudeau attended the 43rd ASEAN Summit to strengthen support for the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) and the ASEAN Indo-Pacific Outlook (AOIP) and launch the ASEAN-Canada strategic partnership.

Prime Minister Trudeau's visit to ASEAN, the heart of the Indo-Pacific region, and the Indo-Pacific region will be an opportunity to make progress and achieve results on issues important to Canada and its international partners.
Since the ASEAN Summit, Trudeau will attend the G20 Summit in India and promote the United Nations (UN) Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) in his capacity as co-chair of the SDG Advocates Group.
