Canadian women’s singles player Michelle Li has resigned Indonesia Masters 2023 not because of the food factor.

Li announced his resignation midway through the 2023 Indonesia Masters round of 16. Coach, Chao Yu Kan, said Michelle Li had been ill since the 2023 Indian Open.

“So he complained of pain [pada perutnya]since in india [Open 2023]. He complained of not feeling well at the time. In fact, a lot of athletes are like that too, but it’s just collapsed now,” Chao said. CNNIndonesia.com.

Michelle Li chose to stop her steps in the round of 16 of the 2023 Indonesia Masters against South Korean representative An Se Young. Michelle retired in Game 2 at 6-18, after winning Game 1 22-20.

Chao dismissed the idea that Michelle was influenced by Indonesian cuisine. He pointed out that Michelle complained of pain in her scar when she competed in India.

Prior to the Indonesia Masters 2023 event, just like several other foreign athletes, Li introduced several familiar snacks to the Indonesian people.

Michelle Li will also not receive any special treatment following her withdrawal from the 2023 Indonesia Masters. However, the 31-year-old will continue to be monitored by the medical team while in Indonesia.

“At most given medication and time to rest so they can recover,” he said.

Chao said Michelle will stay in Indonesia for the next three days. Michelle will not return to Canada until the Indonesia Masters 2023 enters the semi-finals on Saturday (28/1).

“The free time will be used for complete rest. He will return to Canada on Saturday,” Chao said.
