Parts of Eastern Canada will feel more like winter over the next few days, with snow forecast for parts of Ontario and Quebec.
Temperatures are cold in Ontario and Quebec, with temperatures in the single digits Tuesday and Wednesday, said Kelsey McEwen, chief meteorologist for CTV’s Your Morning.
Snow is expected to fall Tuesday afternoon in areas like Timmins, Ont., and then Tuesday evening in areas further south, McEwen said.
A winter weather warning is in effect for Quebec, he added. North of Quebec, five to ten centimeters of snow were expected Wednesday morning, he said.
At the same time, there are warmer places in the east. But temperatures in the north weren’t as pleasant, with Margaret Lake, Yukon, at -14.7C before 9 a.m. ET Tuesday.
Ontario and Quebec will see some relief later this week. The weather will be a little warmer on Thursday and especially Friday, McEwen said. In Toronto, temperatures will generally reach 18 degrees Celsius from Friday through the weekend, according to Environment Canada.
