DohaCroatia Overcome Canada in the continuation of the Group F match of the 2022 World Cup. Croatia won 4-1 against Canada on Monday November 28, 2022, WIB.

Andrej Kramaric scored two goals in the 36th and 70th minutes, Marko Livaja in the 44th minute and Lovro Majer in the 94th minute. Canadian goal by Alphonso Davies 2nd minute.


Croatia went 2-1 past Canada in the first half at the Khalifa International Stadium, Ar-Rayyan.

Canada’s quick goal stunned Croatia in the 2nd minute. A header from Alphonso Davies put Canada ahead early.

Croatia then continued to pressure the Canadian defence. The effort paid off in the 36th minute, with Andrej Kramaric firing a powerful shot from outside the box.

This goal brought the score to 1-1. Previously, Kramaric scored the ball against Canada, but the assistant referee raised the flag indicating the Canadian player’s position was offside, the goal was then disallowed.

Croatia finally took the lead after Marko Livaja unleashed a powerful left shot from Canadian goalkeeper Milan Borjan.

The first half ended 2-1, Croatia kept a temporary advantage.

The duel between the two teams was fairly even. Croatia excel in possession of the ball with 43%, while Canada have 41% of the ball.

But Croatia excelled on attempted goal five times, while Canada only scored once, netting an early goal.

The second half, Canada tried to suppress. In order to increase the striking power, striker Junior Hoilett is included.

Canada’s efforts to control the game showed with possession reaching 45 percent. It’s a shame there were only two attempts on target out of Croatia’s eight attempts.

Croatia added two goals in the second half through Andrej Kramaric and Lovro Majer. Scored 4-1.

With this victory, Croatia climbed to the top of the standings, ahead of Morocco. Croatia pocketed four points like Morocco. Croatia excelled in goals.

Croatia and Morocco have every chance of qualifying for the round of 16. The final match will determine the qualifying country.

Belgium still have a chance, while Canada are certain to be eliminated with two losses.
