Group F in World Cup 2022 ended the second day. Croatia is in the lead and Canada is eliminated.
The duel in this group begins with Belgium vs Morocco, which took place at Al-Thumama Stadium, Doha on Sunday evening (27/11) WIB. The Atlas Lions managed to silence Eden Hazard et al. 2-0 thanks to goals from Abdelhamid Sabiri and Zakaria Aboukhlal.
These results had propelled Morocco to the top of the standings with four points and Belgium to second place after just three points. However, the situation changed a few hours later.
Croatia climbed to lead the standings by four points after beating Canada at Khalifa International Stadium. In the match that ended on Monday (28/11/2022) at the start of the day, Zlatko Dalic’s troops won 4-1.
Vatreni came off early thanks to Alphonso Davies’ goal. Croatia then recovered by scoring three goals thanks to Andrej Kramaric’s brace, as well as one each from Marko Livaja and Lovro Majer.
Croatia have superior goal difference and productivity to Morocco, which has dropped to second place. Belgium then fell to third place and Canada are certain to be eliminated even though there is still one match left in the group stage.
