As Metro reported on Sunday (5/21/2023), Canadian entrepreneur Michael Henderson plans to build a 274-meter replica atop a 30-meter-tall building.
According to Henderson, the project, dubbed Moon Dubai, will offer a unique experience of being in space without having to board a rocket and hopes to attract 2.5 million tourists a year.
Henderson’s proposed project includes a resort in a spherical structure complemented by a hotel and a 4,000-room colony that would make guests feel like they’re walking on the moon.
The structure will be completely spherical and can be lit alternately in full, half or crescent moon.
The plan for the project, known as Moon Dubai, was prepared by a Canadian architectural firm, Moon World Resorts.
Meanwhile, Moon World Resorts co-founders Sandra G. Matthews and Michael R. Henderson said: MoonDubai will affect all aspects of the UAE economy, including the influence sector.
He added that other aspects also targeted were transport, commercial and residential real estate, infrastructure, financial services, aviation and space, energy, agriculture, technology and education. .
It is estimated that it will take another year for development before a four-year construction process.
