Canada therefore has a good chance of qualifying for the next round. They topped the FIBA ​​World Cup 2023 Group H standings with two wins. In the first match, Canada won against France.

Canada was hot at the end of the match. Lebanon was able to take a 4-0 lead thanks to the actions of Wael Arakji and Ali Haidar. Canada was only able to take the lead with seven minutes and 16 seconds left in the first quarter thanks to five consecutive points from Dwight Powell.

Lebanon regained the lead thanks to Arakji’s layup. But after that, the match was controlled by Canada. Kelly Olynyk, RJ Barrett and Shai Gilgeous Alexander took turns scoring points to keep Canada away from Lebanon. Canada closed the first quarter with a 29-13 lead.
