France started the game strong, leading in the first and second quarters 23-10 and 22-19 respectively, finishing the first half with a double-digit margin of 45-29.

However, they were dominated in the third and fourth quarters, finishing 16-21 and 21-23 respectively in favor of Canada. Despite this, France secured victory thanks to a strong first half performance.
