Jakarta, Beritasatu.com – Indonesia is one of the hosts of the FIBA Basketball World Cup 2023 along with the Philippines and Japan. The match will be held at Indonesia Arena, Gelora Bung Karno Sports Complex, Senayan Jakarta from August 25 to September 3, 2023.
The FIBA Basketball World Cup 2023 will be held from August 25 to September 10 in Manila, Philippines, Okinawa, Japan, and Jakarta, Indonesia. The matches are divided into several groups.
Indonesia hosted groups G to H with 8 participating countries, namely Latvia, Lebanon, Canada, France, Iran, Brazil, Ivory Coast and Spain.
Yudha Permana, LOC Communications Director for the FIBA World Cup 2023 Local Committee, said Indonesia’s preparations for the FIBA World Cup 2023 have reached 95%.
“Readiness to host is 95%. The pitch is ready and has been repaired and all facilities are in good condition and ready,” he said on Wednesday (8/23/23).
As stated on the FIBA Basketball Indonesia official website, the first match in Indonesia will be held from August 25 to August 30, 2023. The classification matches in Indonesia will be held from August 31 to September 3, 2023. The final will be held in the Philippines. Tickets for FIBA Basketball World Cup 2023 matches are on sale online on the official website of FIBA Basketball Indonesia.
