Hundreds of athletes participate in the Indonesia International Challenge 2022 – ANTARA News Mataram

Malang, East Java (ANTARA) – A total of 238 badminton players from various countries participated in the Mansion Sports Indonesia International Challenge 2022 tournament held in Malang City, East Java from October 11-16, 2022.

Organizing Committee Chairman Armand Darmaji in Malang City said on Monday that no less than 238 players come from 13 countries and will create fierce competition in the Indonesia International Challenge 2022. “The presence of 238 participants from 13 countries, will make the competition difficult and hot,” said Armand.

Armand explained that the international players come from a number of countries, including Austria, Canada, China, Estonia, India, Japan, Korea, Malaysia, Myanmar, Singapore and l ‘America.

According to him, the international tournament attracted 132 players from abroad and the rest from within the country. There are a number of players who have qualified qualities and participated in the tournament.

“There’s Weng Hong Yang from China, Goh Jin Wei from Malaysia, Sim Yu Jin from Korea, including Korean senior player Son Wan Ho and two men’s doubles from the land of the Bamboo Curtain,” he said.

He added that although on the Indonesian side, there were a number of players who participated in the international tournament. Among them are Ikhsan Leonardo Imanuel Rumbay, Putri Kusuma Wardani, Pramudya Kusumawardana with Rahmat Hidayat and Ribka Sugiarto with Lanny Tria Mayasari.

“Then there is Nita Violina Marwah who is paired with a new partner in two sectors. Nita will be paired with Tryola Nadia in women’s doubles and Adnan Maulana in mixed doubles,” he said.

Doubles specialist Nita Violina Marwah added that she admitted she was eager to compete in the international tournament. Nita will compete with her new partner Tryola Nadia in women’s doubles and Adnan Maulana in mixed doubles.

“I can’t wait to compete. It’s special because it’s my first time playing in two sectors at senior level. I hope I can give my maximum of abilities and results,” he said.

Meanwhile, Malang Mayor Sutiaji added that the Indonesia International Challenge 2022 tournament is expected to ignite the enthusiasm of locals, especially in Malang City in one of the major sports. “I welcome this tournament positively, I hope it can rekindle the spirit of the people of Malang City,” he said.
