IIF President Director Reynaldi Hermansjah said the collaboration was officially marked with the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on September 26, 2023 in Jakarta.
He explained that EDC is a financial institution with a mandate to support Canadian companies in their export business transactions in international markets, particularly in Indonesia.
In addition, he continued, the company also provides financing and risk mitigation services to Canadian companies involved in export trade.
“Through this MoU, the IIF and EDC will explore new opportunities in the form of potential financing and advisory services for Canadian companies that have operational activities in Indonesia,” he said in a press release Saturday (07/10/2023).
He added that this collaboration could provide a basis for both parties to capture commercial potential. One of them concerns investment opportunities for the development of sustainable projects, innovation and development of the sector. renewable energy.

“Collaborating with the IIF allows us to do more, faster, for Canadian exporters and corporate investors in the infrastructure sector while meeting Indonesia’s needs,” he said.
He estimated that by using ESG principles and the capabilities of both parties, EDC will contribute to the sustainable development of infrastructure in Indonesia.
