DKLIKNEWS – Inter Milan advance to the Champions League quarter-finals for the first time in over a decade after retaining their first-leg advantage with a 0-0 draw at Porto tonight.
Romelu Lukaku’s late goal in the first leg ultimately proved to be the game-clinching goal as both sides drew goalless at the Estadio do Dragao.
Despite a stunning and breathless finish, Italy bravely held on when Porto threw everything at them in injury time.

It means Simone Inzaghi has led the Nerazzurri to this Champions League round for the first time since 2011.
The omens look good for Porto at the start of the game, as they have won their last four home games against Italian sides in Europe, and have never lost to Inter here in the Champions League.
However, in this competition, the Dragons have lost six of the seven draws they lost in the first leg, while Inter have advanced four out of five after winning the first leg.
Porto were shaken before the game when it was announced that Pepe wouldn’t be fit enough to start in defence.

Otavio is also unavailable for the hosts, meaning Canadian Stephen Eustaquio is forced into a less familiar role in right midfield.
Inter’s only problems came at left-back, with Robin Gosens and Dalbert the only absences, but an impressive Federico Dimarco started and showed some defensive ability throughout the night in addition to his famous ability sensational crossing.
After losing to Spezia on Friday, Inter needed to improve, especially defensively, and although they defended solidly all night, Porto had the best exchanges early in the game.
Matheus Uribe’s venomous shot went wide in three minutes before Eustaquio forced Andre Onana into a smart save at his right post with a shot from the edge of the box.
