F1 News: Lando Norris has more questions than answers after a disrupted first day of testing at the Canadian Grand Prix saw him post up and down times in the space of a few hours.
Lando Norris took the lead from Ferrari duo Carlos Sainz and Charles Leclerc in the wet/dry FP1 session at Circuit Gilles Villeneuve, before dropping to 20th and last in the wet/dry FP2 as the drivers ran different programmes in mixed conditions.
Asked after the second session if he thought he had collected enough data for the coming weekend, Norris replied: “It’s never enough, but we learned a lot. It’s not dry, actually. To be honest, we didn’t learn enough.”
“We did tours [paling sedikit]I think, to everyone [di kondisi kering]…Not the best with, but plenty in wet conditions, [kami] is in a reasonable position.
Giving some initial thoughts on a possible hierarchy, the Briton continued: “At the moment I think we look a bit out of place. Ferrari look a bit ahead.”
“I don’t know where we are at the moment because the conditions keep changing, so whether you do the first lap when the track is best, or the last lap when the track is best, it changes everything, but I don’t know.
Norris and Piastri were summoned to the stewards after the session for allegedly failing to follow the race director’s event notes regarding the exit instructions at Turn 14, with the stewards avoiding any further action and Piastri receiving a warning.
