Since Norris’ maiden victory at the Miami GP, things have gone very well for the traditional Woking team, with the McLaren driver finishing second on the podium at Imola and Monaco. The drivers were very happy that McLaren could fight for victory again.
But the idea of winning is not the main objective, as Norris emphasized: “We were very competitive last weekend and we approach the race with optimism. »

“We’re just trying to do our best,” enthused the 24-year-old from Bristol. The British driver believes that the competition from Maranello will be the favorite. “Ferrari is the favorite here.”
At the same time, he did not dare predict a winner in Montreal. He said: “It’s impossible to say, because everything is very close between Red Bull Racing, Ferrari and us.”
Dan Norris added: “We all performed well and there were good drivers in all six cars. But previous races have shown that a tenth can occupy two, three or four positions. That’s why I don’t know who will ultimately be in front on this track.”
