REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JAKARTA — Indonesian Political Indicator has published the results of a survey regarding the electability of 10 names using a closed simulation. At the top is the governor of Central Java, presidential candidate (capres) of the Indonesian Democratic Party of Struggle (PDIP), Ganjar Pranowo, with an electability of 32.4 percent.
The second position is General Chairman of the Gerindra Party who is also Minister of Defense (Menhan) Prabowo Subianto with an electability of 29.9 percent. Below him is the Unity Coalition for Change presidential candidate Anies Rasyid Baswedan (20.6%).
“The difference in support for each is not significant, but significantly greater than Anies Baswedan which occupies third place with about 20 to 21 percent of the vote,” said Executive Director of Indonesian Political Indicators Burhanuddin Muhtadi in an online statement, Friday (18/8/2023).
Outside the top three are West Java Governor Ridwan Kamil (4.0%), State Affairs Minister Erick Thohir (1.9%) and Democratic Party Chairman Agus Harimurti Yudhoyono (1.4%). %). This is followed by Tourism and Creative Economy Minister Sandiaga Salahuddin Uno (0.9 percent) and Golkar Party General Chairman Airlangga Hartarto (0.5 percent).
The two lowest were National Awakening Party (PKB) General Chairman Abdul Muhaimin Iskandar (0.2 percent) and DPR Chairman Puan Maharani (0.1 percent). As many as 8.1 percent of respondents said they didn’t know or didn’t answer.
Then the Indonesian political indicator performed a simulation of the three names appearing in the top three. The first is still the name Ganjar (35.2 percent), below are Prabowo (33.2 percent) and Anies (23.9 percent).
“By simulating three presidential candidate names, it appears that only Anies Baswedan shows an upward trend compared to previous results. But on average every year Ganjar Pranowo increases steadily,” said Burhanuddin.
Indonesian political indicators conducted a survey from July 15 to 21, 2023, with sampling according to the method multistage random sampling. The number of survey respondents was 1,811 people.
The selected respondents were interviewed face to face by selected interviewers. As for fault tolerance or margin of error about 2.35 percent at a 95 percent confidence level.
