Lewis Hamilton can’t leave the Canadian GP podium

F1 News: Lewis Hamilton still can’t forget the Canadian GP moment, where he took the podium with Max Verstappen and Fernando Alonso.

Lewis Hamilton is known for having managed to secure the third podium at the Canadian Grand Prix two weeks ago. While the first and second places were occupied respectively by Max Verstappen and Fernando Alonso.

As we know, the three names above have already won the F1 world. Hamilton went on to call the podium in Montreal something iconic.

“Those are pretty iconic top three. I don’t know if there were top threes like this before, I can’t believe it happened,” he said, as quoted by Crash.

On the other hand, Hamilton admitted he really enjoyed the Canadian GP race. The reason is that he rarely fights hard with Max Verstappen and Alonso. Moreover, Verstappen was far ahead of his opponents and intact until the finish line.

“I’m happy to be back in competition. I just hope that at some point we can be a bit more level so we can get back to some of the good racing we had in 2021,” Hamilton said.

Meanwhile, Lewis Hamilton is still behind Verstappen and Alonso in the 2023 F1 standings. The 38-year-old sits fourth with 102 points.

Meanwhile, Alonso is a level above the alias in third place by scoring 117 points. Then, Verstappen still leads the championship after collecting a total of 195 points.
