jpnn.com – ANTALYA – The Thai women’s national volleyball team showed that they are not a can (slang for reckless, bad, etc.) on the international stage.

After putting up a tough resistance against Italy in the first match of the first week of the Women’s Volleyball Nations League or VNL 2023, Thailand defeated Canada in the second match.

Thailand only lost 2-3 to reigning VNL champions Italy on Tuesday (30/5).

In Thailand’s second match at Antalya Sports Hall, Turkey, Thursday (1/6) evening WIB, Canada became the victim. The White Elephant Country women’s team won 3-0, 25-17, 26-24, 25-21.

Srithong Wipawee was the Thai star in this match. The 24-year-old outside hitter contributed 18 points in total (16 attack points, 1 block point and 1 service point).

In the first week, Thailand still has two matches to play, namely against Poland (2/6) and Korea (4/6).
