Canada won seven gold medals at the last Summer Olympics held in Tokyo, Japan in 2021.
London featured prominently in some of the country’s best performances at the Olympics, with Forest City athletes either part of or directly winning four of those medals:
- Maggie McNeil wins Olympic gold in 100m butterfly in pool
- Damien Warner reaches 9,000 points and steps onto the decathlon podium
- Suzanne Grainger is one of eight women to win a gold medal in rowing
- Jessie Fleming and Shelina Zadorsky lead Canada to the top of the women’s soccer world.
