Argentina secures place in final Copa America 2024 after beating Canada with a score of 2-0 in the semi-final held at MetLife Stadium, New Jersey, United States, Wednesday (10/7) morning WIB.

Argentina’s two goals against Canada in the semi-finals were scored by Julian Alvarez in the 23rd minute and Lionel Messi in the 51st minute. Messi himself appeared as a starter in this match.

In the final match of the 2024 Copa America, Argentina will face the winner of the Uruguay v Colombia match, who play the other semi-final match.

Since the start of the first half, Argentina dominated the game and were more offensive than Canada. Messi had a chance in the 12th minute, but his shot went wide.

Albiceleste (Argentina’s nickname) only managed to break through Canada’s goal in the 23rd minute through Julian Alvarez. After receiving a pass from Rodrigo De Paul, Julian Alvarez fired a shot that the Canadian goalkeeper couldn’t stop.
