Indonesian Embassy (Indonesian Embassy) Ottawa has appealed to all citizens of Indonesia (WNI) in Canada as well as the severity of the air condition due to forest fires. Indonesian citizens are urged to always be extra vigilant.
“Extra vigilance if you have to do activities outside the home,” the Indonesian Embassy in Ottawa wrote via its Instagram account, as seen on Friday (06/09/2023).
The Indonesian Embassy in Ottawa has also asked Indonesian citizens to always prepare mask equipment and anticipate worsening air conditions due to wildfires. Indonesian citizens are advised to always follow the instructions of local authorities.
“Monitor the development of weather forecasts and alerts from local authorities, both at the municipal, provincial and federal levels,” said the Indonesian Embassy in Ottawa.

The Canadian government has issued a forest fire warning for a number of regions in Canada, such as British Columbia, Alberta, Ontario, Quebec and Nova Scotia.
For this reason, the Indonesian representative in Canada urges the Indonesian people in Canada to:
– Increase alertness if you have to do activities outside the home
– Prepare the mask material and anticipate the worsening of the air due to forest fires
– Follow the directives and advice of local authorities, both municipal, provincial and federal
– Follow-up of the evolution of weather forecasts and alert alerts from local authorities, both at the municipal, provincial and federal level
