SINGARAJA, NusaBali – Teachers, students and employees of SMAN 1 Singaraja rejoiced to celebrate the culmination of its 73rd birthday on Wednesday (1/11) at the school grounds.
SMAN 1 Singaraja’s 73rd anniversary celebration series began on October 24. Numerous internal and external competitions as well as academic seminars filled the school’s anniversary series. Sri Astiti said in his report, returning to the existence of SMAN 1 Singaraja, established since November 1, 1950. SMAN 1 Singaraja is the oldest public high school in Bali and Nusa Tenggara (Nusra).
During its 73 years of operation, SMAN 1 Singaraja has produced many great graduates who have contributed to the nation and the state. In fact, many of them are now well-known government officials. “For decades, SMAN 1 Singaraja has managed to maintain consistency in providing good educational services,” Sri Astiti said proudly.
The existence and consistency of maximum educational guidance and services is still a work in progress. So that every year, achievements in academic and non-academic fields are never absent from the students of SMAN 1 Singaraja.
One of the proud achievements that SMAN 1 Singaraja students regularly obtain is the state-funded Indonesia Advanced Scholarship to study abroad. “The selection and preparation are very strict. Our first group of students is already in Toronto, Canada and China, the second group on July 15, two students left for Australia. The third year is in preparation and the fourth year is in the selection phase. “I hope our students can return to school,” said former SMAN 3 director Singaraja.
At a very mature school age and in the face of current educational developments, SMAN 1 Singaraja is committed to continuing to improve its services and the quality of education. He also called the 73rd anniversary commemoration a milestone to grow and be strong together, contributing to a golden Indonesia in 2045.
Meanwhile, Head of the Development Division of Bali Disdikpora High School, Ngurah Pasek Wirakusuma, revealed that the most difficult challenge for educational units today is to quickly, accurately and appropriately adapt to a system very dynamic educational. To meet these challenges, schools must continue to improve the human resources (HR) of teachers who transfer knowledge to students.
“The current educational challenge is a very dynamic change in the education system. How, in the future, will schools be able to implement existing regulations, from the center to the educational units? The answer is that human resource preparation must continue to be improved.
