JAKARTA, KOMPAS.com – Musician Rio Silaen collaborated with Indonesian singer Idol, Kwismasto appear at the charity concert titled Angel of Change overseas recently.
Both performed with the Voice of Indonesia choir to raise funds for orphanages in Indonesia.
They appear in two countries, namely Canada and in the United States, particularly in the cities of Vancouver, Toronto, LA and New York.

The concert featured Indonesian arts and culture, such as songs and dances led by Rio Silaen.
“If we have the possibility that we can still laugh and feel more blessings but do nothing, that’s sad. It’s for our friends in the country,” said Rio Silaen when met by the team. media to Taman Ismail Marzuki, Cikini, Central Jakarta, Sunday (20/11/2022).
In Vancouver, Rio was helped by Nowela to perform Indonesian folk songs and entertain the diaspora there.

“When we were in Vancouver, we performed a lot of Indonesian songs, 80% of which were folk songs. Nowela brought the spirit of Papua, and I brought the Batak culture and we kept mixing it,” Rio continued.
In addition, Rio revealed, donations collected from the diaspora and local residents of the country amounted to IDR 220 million.
“In Vancouver there were donations and ticketing, a total of 220 million rupees, then in Toronto it was 94 million rupees. All of this will be donated to orphanages in Indonesia,” Rio Silaen said. .

“So today’s concert at TIM is the highlight of our trip to Vancouver and Toronto a while ago. Nowela should have appeared too but she was sick,” Rio continued.
The Charity Concert aims to raise funds that will be donated to orphanages in the country.
The event was initiated by Robert Prasetya, In-Donation Community in Vancouver with the aim of providing assistance to orphanages in Indonesia.
