Submarine Titans who travel to the corpse Titanic ship not yet found. Chase against the clock, the rescue team has been added.
reported from EuroNewsThursday (6/22/2023) ships from Europe joined the search for the Titan ship. The vessel was declared to have lost contact on Sunday morning (6/18) after slipping 1.5 hours into the sea.
A Norwegian ship launched with state-of-the-art equipment in this rescue. The ship dropped an unmanned underwater robot near the wreck of the Titani in the Atlantic Ocean.
Ships from France were dispatched to the scene, after the incident the sound of “crash” near the point of the location disappeared. This sound is presented as a sign of their safety.
Authorities believe that the oxygen level on board the ship continues to drop. There are only 24 hours left.
Previously, it was the US and Canadian Coast Guards that directly investigated the existence of the Titan Ship. Canadian authorities reported that the ship was lost in waters about 700 km off Newfoundland, Canada.
The plan is for the submarine to descend to a depth of 3,800 to see the wreckage of the Titanic. On board were a pilot, a billionaire, two members of a Pakistani business family and a Titanic expert.
The Titan ship has an oxygen supply for 96 hours when it departs. That means oxygen will run out Thursday at 6 a.m. local time.
There are two possibilities that could occur. Allstair Greig, professor of marine engineering at University College London, said the submarine could have survived.
“Submarines have a drop weight which is mass that can be released in an emergency to bring them to the surface using buoyancy,” he said.
In the event of a power or communication failure, the ship may float on the surface waiting to be found.
On the other hand, the scenario of a leak in the pressurized hull is bad news.
“If it has sunk to the bottom of the sea, this ship cannot rise to the edge with its own power, the choices are very limited,” he added.
There are very few ships that can dive that deep. Even if it had been found at the bottom of the ocean, Greig doubted that the rescuers would have been able to recover the ship.
