Jayapura – Papuan Governor Lukas Enembe’s meeting with Canadian Embassy Counselor to Indonesia Helena Viau during his visit to Papua province on Thursday (24/11/2016) discussed the political situation during the regional elections in Papua.
“We did not talk much, we only discussed the political situation in Papua,” the governor of Papua said after receiving the Canadian adviser to journalists.
According to Lukas, in line with the performance of the duties of Advisor Helena in the political field, her party only explained the security situation in Papua, as well as the situation where the regional election atmosphere was as it is now.
Following in Lukas Enembe’s footsteps, Helena Viau, who works in politics and public relations, admitted that this was her first visit to Papua.
“I came here to study and this is my first time visiting Papua,” Helena said.
He said his party had deliberately travelled across Indonesia to learn about the political conditions in each province based on their area of work at the Canadian embassy.
“It was very interesting for me to be able to meet the governor in person,” he said.
However, his party did not want to comment further on the content of his conversation with the governor of Papua regarding the regional election process in Papua, only hoping that the people can run for election in their respective regions.
