TEMPO.CO, Jakarta – Acting Director General of Immigration Widodo Ekatjahjana, said there were two Chinese nationals with the initials HCC and YX who were suspected of planning a protest against G20 Summit in Bali on Saturday November 12, 2022. Both were secured by immigration officers in Jakarta on Friday evening November 11, 2022.
When checked, the officer Immigration found evidence of the two foreigners who led provocative efforts to mobilize the masses to launch a protest against the G20 summit in Bali which will take place on November 15-16, 2022.

“Immediately at that time, I ordered that preventive measures be taken for security and that inspections be carried out in accordance with the provisions of the legislation, and immediately coordinated with the Chinese Embassy and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs” , Widodo said in a written statement, Saturday, November 12, 2022.
In the aftermath of the incident, both also allegedly violated immigration rules because they had a political activity schedule that did not comply with their limited residence permit visas.
“I ordered the director of Wasdakim to take firm and humane action and to be carried out in accordance with the provisions of the legislation, as well as to coordinate with the K/Ls and relevant representatives,” Widodo explained.
