Trudeau also expressed his appreciation for the warm welcome given to the Canadian basketball team in Indonesia, when the Canadian team participated in the 2023 FIBA World Cup at the Indonesia Arena, in the Gelora Bung Karno area, Jakarta, some time ago.
According to him, this is an extraordinary example of the close ties that unite Canada with Indonesia.
Trudeau also said he looked forward to discussions at the ASEAN-Canada summit on several major issues important to geopolitics.
He pointed out that Indonesia has so far demonstrated its ability to unite the world through its G20 presidency and tackle major issues.
