Wu was born on January 20, 1995 in Edmonton, Canada. He has been playing badminton since the age of six and has been part of the Canadian national team since 2011.
Wu started her professional career in 2008. She briefly played women’s singles, then moved on to women’s doubles and now plays mixed doubles with Dong Adam.

Wu/Gong stayed put to face the Indonesian duo and went 20-22, 15-21 in 38 minutes
During her career, Wu won a bronze medal in women’s singles at the 2017 Pan Am Badminton Championships.
She has also won titles in various national and international tournaments, such as the women’s singles title at the Canadian Open Badminton Championships in 2017.
In addition to playing badminton, Wu also holds a bachelor’s degree in sociology from the University of British Columbia and is currently completing a master’s degree in public policy studies.
Wu has also been involved in several charitable projects and is a youth ambassador for several organizations in Canada that focus on sports and education.
