REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JAKARTA — The French national team held its first training session at the Indonesia Arena, Senayan, Jakarta on Thursday (24/8/2023) ahead of the 2023 FIBA World Cup. France will challenge Canada in the opening match of Group H on Friday (08/25/2023) tomorrow.
”They (Canada) are a solid team, full of talent and also tough. “It’s a good test for us (France), a good start to the competition,” declared the center of the French team, Rudy Gobert, met after the French team’s training session.
Gobert is one of the pillar players of the France team. This center player with an imposing posture of 216 cm is also an NBA star who currently plays for the Minnesota Timberwolves team.
Gobert believes in the strength of the French team for the 2023 Basketball World Cup. They have also prepared and are focusing on tomorrow’s match.
