Jakarta (ANTARA) – Singer Stephanie Poetri collaborated with Malaysian-Canadian musician Alex Porat on the latest release Single “Miss Sick World” is taken from Alex Porat’s latest EP of the same title.
Their friendship began virtually when they met on social media. It didn't take long for them to become fans of each other's music. Alex and Stephanie's friendship grew during the pandemic before they ultimately decided to collaborate.
Stephanie said that she really loves Alex's songs and that this collaboration shows his abilities as an amazing songwriter and person. The daughter of the famous Titi DJ feels connected to the lyrics of this song.

“The verses I wrote and sang in this song are about the people around me who often tell me that I have potential and that I can become someone great. But sometimes I want to be accepted and loved as such. that I am, not as a version of myself. in the future,” Stéphanie said in an official broadcast, quoted on Sunday.
Meanwhile, Alex said 'Miss World Sick' spoke about the challenges she faced growing up. This song holds a special place in his heart because before, he hid a side of him from everyone.

Besides the typical romantic problems of twenty-somethings, in the EP “Miss Sick World” released last October, Alex also addresses social issues related to racial prejudice and gender norms.
