Reported from the official website of TNI AU, Thursday (14/9/2023), Muljono Air Base Commander, Colonel Pnb Sugeng Budiono, welcomed the arrival of the TNI Commander and Chief of Staff as well as key officials of the TNI in Banyuwangi, Saturday (9/9/2023) at the summit of the event The prestigious Super Garuda Shield 2023 training is underway.

Visit of the TNI Commander and Chief of Staff along with officials to directly observe the progress of the Super Garuda Shield 2023 exercise, which includes 17 countries including: Indonesia, United States, Australia , the Philippines, Singapore, Canada, South Korea, New Zealand, France, Germany, Papua New Guinea, Timor Leste and Brunei Darussalam.

This exercise involved thousands of joint military personnel from the Indonesian army and friendly countries.

Exercise Super Garuda Shield 2023 will be held at the headquarters of Situbondo Marine Combat Training Center (Puslatpur), Baluran. This activity involves different types of sophisticated defense equipment such as those involving land, sea and air forces.

Super Garuda Shield is an exercise involving different major countries that aims not only to improve combat capabilities, but no less important is friendliness, cohesion, knowledge of each other’s culture and language in order to develop a sense of mutual understanding, which is also the objective of the most important joint exercise in history in the region.

It is hoped that the Super Garuda Shield can develop and increase mutual trust, understanding as well as the military capabilities of each country according to their duties and functions to achieve strong multilateral cooperation.
