This causes Nissan to recall 125,000 units of the Rogue model

Bisnis.comJAKARTA – Recently Nissan issued a recall on 125,000 units of the Nissan Rogue model, due to a water leak that could start a fire.

In detail, Nissan has recalled 125,215 Rogue models from America and Canada with production dates from July 2016 to September 2017.

This can trigger a problem with the function electric windows Where Power Seats driver, causing the AWD warning light to flash until the battery is discharged. Therefore, if left untreated, this problem can cause thermal damage to the connector, leading to a fire.

Given the potential hazard, customers will be advised to take their vehicle to the dealership to inspect the dashboard side harness connector for corrosion and replace the connector with a harness repair kit.

During this time, a lithium lubricant will also be applied to any connectors potentially affected by this issue.

Of note, Nissan first issued a recall on this in early January 2022, but at the time it was limited to 2014-2016 Rogue models.

Then, in late January, Nissan received a similar report of corrosion detected in the 2017 Rogue’s dash-side harness connector. In light of the case, Nissan confirmed that there were four incidents of corrosion found on the Rogue model in the United States and Canada.
