Wuling Motors chief executive Shi Guoyong said the 300 units of Air EV consist of 216 Long Range type units and 84 Standard Range type units to support the mobility of delegates from the G20 and international organizations of the November 15 to 16, 2022. in Bali.
“This step is also another step for us to help Indonesia and the world towards a greener future through emission-free vehicles,” Shi Guoyong said in a press release, Thursday, 10/27/2022.
During the G20 summit, Wuling Air EV was designated as the official vehicle for the delegations of G20 members, who came from South Africa, the United States, Saudi Arabia, Argentina, Australia, Brazil , India, Indonesia, England, Italy, Japan, Germany, Canada, South Korea, Mexico, France, Russia, Turkey and European Union. Afterwards, other guest delegates from the United Arab Emirates, the Netherlands, Fiji, Cambodia, Rwanda, Senegal, Singapore, Spain and Suriname also drove with the Air EV.
In addition, this compact electric vehicle also meets the mobility needs of various international organizations present at this event, including the Asian Development Bank (ADB), the Financial Stability Board (FSB), the Islamic Development Bank (IDB), the International Labor Organization (ILO), International Monetary Fund (IMF), Organization for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD), World Health Organization (WHO) at the World Trade Organization (WTO).
Minister of State Secretary Pratikno said the G20 is an important showcase to show Indonesia’s seriousness in clean energy transition and that Wuling is an important part of the electric car ecosystem in Indonesia.
