Xi Jinping berates Trudeau, it’s China against Canada’s economic might

There was an unusual moment at the G20 summit in Bali. President of China Xi Jinping filmed lecturing Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau.

As CNN reported, on Thursday (11/17/2022), Xi Jinping’s translator said there were “discussions that have been leaked to the public.” You can see Xi Jinping’s hand movements in the gestures as if to emphasize what he was saying.

“Everything we discussed has been leaked in the documents and it’s inappropriate,” Xi Jinping’s interpreter said.

“And that’s not how the talks are done,” said Xi Jinping’s interpreter.

Apart from this, the economic strength of each country has led Xi Jinping and Trudeau is interesting to kidnap. Like what?

According to World Bank data, China’s gross domestic product (GDP) in 2021 is US$17.73 trillion. GDP itself is the total value added generated by all business units in a given country, or is the total value of final goods and services produced by all economic units. GDP is an important indicator to determine the economic situation of a country.

Additionally, China’s GDP per capita was recorded at US$12,556.3. Then, China’s economic growth was recorded at 8.1%.

Meanwhile, the number of unemployed in China was recorded at 4.8% of the total labor force. Then inflation in 2021 is 1%.

Canada’s GDP is much lower than China’s. In the same year, Canada’s GDP was recorded at US$1.99 trillion. However, GDP per capita is higher at USD 52,051.4.

Canada recorded economic growth of 4.6%. Then the number of unemployed is 7.5% of the total labor force and inflation is 3.4%.
