Washington: At an electronic dance music festival in Washington state on Saturday night, at least two people were killed and three others injured, including the shooter in a mass shooting, according to Dr. News.
Reports of the shooting were submitted to police around 8:25 p.m. local time. The Grant County Sheriff’s Office said the shooting happened at a campsite near Washington’s Gorge Amphitheater.
Sheriff’s Office spokesman Kyle Foreman said the suspected shooter drove away from the scene of the shooting before officers pursued him. Foreman said the suspect fired “randomly” into the crowd while fleeing and was eventually arrested.
At the time, Foreman said the Gorge Amphitheater was hosting the two-day Beyond Wonderland music festival, and the campground was only a few hundred yards away.
According to Dr. The news is that the Beyond Wonderland festival is continuing despite the shooting, and they also released a statement asking visitors to avoid certain areas of the campground.
“Please avoid the Gorge Gate H camping area as it is closed due to an incident which has been handled by local authorities. There is currently no danger to festival goers or campers,” the festival said in a tweet on Saturday evening.
The festival announced the cancellation of the show on Sunday morning.
