Arrested by Bali police, a Canadian citizen submits his trial

Jakarta, tvOnenews.com – A Canadian citizen (WN) by the name of Stéphane Gagnon was arrested by the Bali police. This is because he is suspected of being on the list red notice Interpol. However, the Canadian citizen is now filing a lawsuit through his lawyer, Pahrur Dalimunthe.

Pahrur said pre-trial was conducted following Pola Bali’s arrest breaking the rules red notice to the extradition process.

Indeed, according to him, the lawsuit regarding the alleged arrest which violated the rules was submitted by his side to the Bali District Court (PN).

“Now that this has been revealed, this process started with case brokering, started with extortion, started with unlawful acts, so we are asking that this extradition process be reviewed. Is it true that this person deserves extradition or not, is it true that the Canadian government has asked our client (to be extradited) or even other people, or even never asked at all,” Pahrur said during his meeting in South Jakarta, Tuesday (6/6/2023).

“Our client is a good person, he works and has a business here, has family here, is not strange here, so what is there to sue to extradite this person. On the notice red, it is also clear that there is no arrest order,” he continued.

In addition to filing a lawsuit, the Canadian citizen also participated in the writing of a police report regarding the alleged extortion by a case broker (Markus) and members of the Divhubinter National Police.
