TIMEINDONESIA, JAKARTA – Four stadiums in Indonesia are ready to host the U-17 World Cup which will take place from November 10 to December 2, 2023.
The four stadiums that will host the match are Gelora Bung Tomo Surabaya, Manahan Stadium Solo, Jakarta International Stadium (JIS) and Si Jalak Harupat Stadium, Soreang Bandung.
The Indonesian national team will play in Group A alongside Panama, Morocco and Ecuador. U-17 national team head coach Bima Sakti selected 21 players who will defend Indonesia’s name in the 2023 World Cup. The entire team and staff also arrived Friday at the City of Heroes, Surabaya, East Java (3/11).
A total of 24 teams will compete in the final round of the 2023 U-17 World Cup, and the Gelora Bung Tomo Stadium in the East Java city of Surabaya will host the opening match of the Cup of the U-17 World Cup which will take place on November 10, 2023.
All participating teams were divided into six groups, namely Group A (Indonesia, Panama, Morocco, Ecuador), Group B (Spain, Canada, Mali, Uzbekistan), Group C (Brazil, England, Iran, New -Caledonia), Group D. (Argentina, Senegal, Poland, Japan), Group E (France, South Korea, United States, Burkina Faso) and Group F (Germany, Mexico, Venezuela, New Zealand).
The Gelora Bung Tomo Stadium in Surabaya will host the first two matches of the group stage on Friday (10/11). The first match will be between Panama and Morocco at 16:00 WIB, followed by the Indonesian national team’s match against Ecuador at 19:00 WIB.
In addition to the matches of Group A, on the same day and at the same time at the Solo Manahan Stadium, Group B will also start a match, namely the match between the Mali national team and Uzbekistan at 4:00 p.m. WIB, followed by the match between Spain and Canada at 19:00 WIB.
The opening match of Group C will take place at the Jakarta International Stadium (JIS) on Saturday (11/11) with a meeting between New Caledonia and England at 16:00 WIB, followed by the match between Brazil and Iran at 7:00 p.m. WIB.
The first Group D encounter between Japan and Poland will be the opening match at the Si Jalak Harupat Stadium in Bandung on Saturday (11/11) at 4:00 p.m. WIB, followed by the match between Argentina and Senegal at 7:00 p.m. WIB.
Group E will begin its preliminary matches on Sunday (12/11) at the JIS Stadium in Jakarta. The first match will be between France and Burkina Faso at 4:00 p.m. WIB, followed by the match between South Korea and the United States at 7:00 p.m. WIB.
Finally, Group F will face off at the Si Jalak Harupat Stadium in Bandung, with a match between Venezuela and New Zealand at 16:00 WIB, followed by a match between Mexico and Germany at 19:00 WIB.

After the group stage, the round of 16 will begin from November 20 to 22, 2023. The first two matches will take place on Monday (11/20) at 3:30 p.m. WIB at Manahan Stadium, Solo, which will pit the finalists of Group A against the ranking 2 Group C, followed by a match between the winner of Group B and the 2nd place of Group A/C/D at 19:00 WIB.
Then on Tuesday (21/11), at the Gelora Bung Tomo Stadium, two matches will take place at 3:30 p.m. WIB, namely a meeting between the 2nd place in Group B and the 2nd place in Group F, followed by a match between the winner of Group A and the best 3rd place in Group C/D/E at 7:00 p.m. WIB.
On the same day, Si Jalak Harupat Bandung Stadium will bring together the winner of Group F and the second place in Group E at 3:30 p.m. WIB, followed by a match between the winner of Group D and the best place in Group B/E/F. at 7:00 p.m. WIB.
Then on Sunday (22/11) at JIS Jakarta Stadium, two matches will take place, namely the winner of group C against the best 3rd place in group A/B/F at 3:30 p.m. WIB, followed by a match between the winner of group E and 2nd place in Group D at 3:30 p.m. WIB. 7:00 p.m. WIB.
After the round of 16, the U-17 World Cup will enter the quarterfinals on November 24, 2023 at 3:30 p.m. WIB and 7:00 p.m. WIB at JIS Stadium in Jakarta. Then on November 25, 2023 at 3:30 p.m. WIB and 7:00 p.m. WIB at Manahan Stadium, Solo.
Additionally, the two semi-final matches will take place on November 28, 2023 at 3:30 p.m. WIB and 7:30 p.m. WIB, also at Manahan Stadium Solo, Surakarta.
Meanwhile, the third place match will take place on December 1, 2023 at 7:00 p.m. WIB. And the highly anticipated match, namely the final, will take place on December 2, 2023 at 7:00 p.m. WIB, also at Manahan Stadium, Solo.
