The Indonesian U-17 World Cup (Pildun) 2023 trophy is on display in the city of Solo. The event took place in the form of a carnival from Sriwedari Stadium to Mangkunegaran Temple over a distance of 1 kilometer.

Based on tracking detikJatengthe carnival took place in the presence of PSSI Chairman Erick Thohir, Acting Governor of Central Java Nana Sudjana, Solo Mayor Gibran Raka.

Gibran was seen wearing a blue T-shirt. Meanwhile, Erick wore a black t-shirt. They walked side by side during the carnival.

When the group arrived at Mangkunegaran Temple, they were then welcomed by KGPAA Mangkunegoro X, accompanied by traditional ceremonies.

“Today we organized a trophy experience, the event went well, the enthusiasm of the people was extraordinary to present the big event at the end of this year, which is the Pildun U-17. We hope the event will go well,” said Gibran at Mangkunegaran Temple, Sunday (05/11/2023).

Gibran also expressed his thanks to Erick Thohir, as the city of Solo was designated to be one of the hosts of the event.

“We will do our best to ensure that this event runs smoothly, safely and that the Indonesian national team achieves maximum performance,” he said.

Regarding his own preparations, he said the city of Solo was ready, both in terms of location, security, facilities and infrastructure. Apart from this, the City of Solo will also prepare entertainment outside the match, to liven up the event.

“Later there will be supporting events, including the most anticipated closing event,” he said.

In the meantime, said Erick Thohir, this event was to liven up the Pildun U-17, which will open its doors on November 10. He is sure that the city of Solo will be a good host.

“Thank God, a few days before the opening, of course, the support from the regional heads, Mas Wali, Mr. Governor, who wants to make sure that Solo is on par with the big cities in Indonesia, is extraordinary. I have confidence, we at PSSI are pushing for semi-finals, solo finals and “many international events have been proven to be successful,” Erick said.

The city of Solo itself will play the matches in Group B consisting of Mali, Uzbekistan, Spain and Canada. This match will be an interesting spectacle. Erick said that during the U-17 Pildun match, VAR technology was used.

“The opening in Solo on the 10th will be interesting, there will be Spain and Mali, two big teams, one from Europe and one from Africa. There will be a match between Canada and Uzbekistan. I hope the people of Solo will be entertained,” he said.

Regarding the opening and closing events, Erick is still hesitant to disclose them. However, PSSI put Wishnutama in charge of the opening and closing ceremonies.
