AdaTah.com – Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau spoke by telephone with President-elect Prabowo Subianto.

Prabowo Subianto and Justin Trudeau looked friendly during a conversation via a long distance communication tool, Wednesday, May 1, 2024.

Justin Trudeau, now Prime Minister of Canada, is the son of Pierre Trudeau, politician and 15th Canadian Prime Minister.

“It is an honor for me to be able to receive your call (from Justin Trudeau) directly. I have always admired your father and you, your leadership, and I look forward to working with you, to collaborating with you, Mr. Prime Minister,” says Prabowo Subianto.

Justin Trudeau also expressed his respect for being able to speak with Prabowo Subianto and said Canada was ready to work more closely with Indonesia. He even said that Indonesia's leadership had important significance, both regionally and globally.

“I’m really looking forward to sitting down with you and meeting you so we can get off to a good start.” “Indonesia’s leadership is important, not only in the region but also in the world and I want to learn and grow together,” said the Canadian Prime Minister.

At the end of their conversation, the Canadian Prime Minister asked Prabowo to call him by his name.

“Pak Prabowo, please call me Justin from now on,” he said.

Prabowo Subianto also followed Justin's remarks and expressed his desire to immediately meet with the Canadian Prime Minister on another occasion.
