However, the revenues realized exceeded the expectations made Sony Pictures Animation and BoxxOffice Pro between US$75 million and US$115.5 million in its first three days of release in the US and Canada.
The sequel to its Oscar-winning predecessor for Best Animated Feature, Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse grossed just over US$35 million in its first three days of release in December 2018.
Revenues made by the movie Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse have more than tripled compared to the achievements of the previous sequel.
At the Los Angeles premiere, producer Amy Pascal said she was working on other Spider-Verse projects.
“You will see [lebih banyak versi] everything,” said Amy Pascal, quoted by Reuters, on Tuesday (06/06/2023).
The Spider-Man Across the Spider-Verse movie tells the story of a Miles Morales who returns with Gwen Stacy. Spider-Man was thrown into a parallel dimension or multiverse and encountered the Spider Society, a team of Spider-People tasked with protecting the multiverse’s existence.
But Miles Morales must single-handedly save his loved ones when other superheroes come into conflict with other spiders.
Meanwhile, the voice actors involved in the film are Shameik Moore, Hailee Steinfeld, Brian Tyree Henry, Luna Lauren Velez, Jake Johnson, Jason Schwartzman, Issa Rae, Karan Soni,
with Daniel Kaluuya and Oscar Isaac.
The Internet Movie Database gives the movie a 9.1 rating and ranks it as the second most popular movie at the moment. The film also received favorable ratings from film critics with a 95% rating and a 96% rating from review aggregator Rotten Tomatoes.
