Jakarta (ANTARA) – The Barrett brothers, consisting of Jordie, Beauden and Scott, made world rugby history by becoming the first trio of brothers to score a try in a World Cup match.
They did so when New Zealand crushed Canada 63-0 in the Rugby World Cup Pool B match, played at the Oita Stadium, Oita Prefecture. Oita, Wednesday evening WIB, as reported by the official tournament website.
“When you're blessed, you're blessed, and these three have been blessed. Their parents tonight must be very proud,” New Zealand coach Steve Hansen was quoted as saying by rugbyworldcup.com.

The victory moved the All Blacks to second place in Pool B with nine points, while Canada sits bottom of the standings with zero points.
New Zealand earned a point after just four minutes of play. They were awarded a penalty try when Canadian scrum-half Gordon McRorie jumped into the fray to prevent a try turnover.
Jordie Barrett then chased down Richie Mo'unga's kick to score the second try, and Sonny Bill Williams scored the second try with a delicate move to give his team a 21–0 lead in the 16th minute.
Canada did have several chances to score points, but Peter Nelson's move was stopped by Beauden Barrett, while they failed to get another chance when they opted to line out rather than to pull.
Five minutes before half-time, New Zealand scored their fourth try when Beauden Barrett collected Williams' kick and sent it past both posts.

Rieko Ioane only needed 43 seconds to score points in the second half. Scott Barrett, who passed the ball away for a try in the first half, made no such mistake when given a second chance.
The All Blacks' last three tries came from Shannon Frizel and two tries from Weber.
In an earlier match, France needed three late tries to win 33-9 against the United States.
In the Pool C match played at Fukuoka Hakatanomori Stadium, the United States failed to score at all. All their points were obtained thanks to AJ MacGinty's penalties (18', 30', 64')
Meanwhile, tries for France were scored by Yoann Huget (5'), Alivereti Raka (23'), Gael Fickou (66'), Baptiste Serin (69'), Jefferson Poirot (78') and a conversion by Thomas Ramos (7') and Camille Lopez (67', 70', 80')
