Before the Canadian GP, Max Verstappen wants to repeat the sweet story of Baku

F1 News: Red Bull Racing driver Max Verstappen wants to reap positive results again at the upcoming F1 Canadian GP. Verstappen hopes he can repeat the sweet record like in Baku.

At the Azerbaijan GP last weekend, Max Verstappen raced relatively easily. It was really helped by the technical problems faced by Ferrari for Red Bull to manage to finish 1-2. Verstappen managed to win the race while Sergio Perez was a strip behind him. Ahead of the Canadian GP which takes place in just a week, Verstappen will certainly hope that the good results from Baku can be repeated again.

“Montreal is an interesting track because of its design layoutsit’s unique. It will be interesting to see how the asphalt reacts later. We hope that the Red Bull cars will perform well there. I can’t wait to go down to Montreal, what a truly magnificent city. “After finishing 1-2 in Baku, of course it would be wonderful if we left Canada with the same result,” Verstappen said.

“It would be fantastic if we were able to retain first place in the constructors’ and drivers’ standings. However, the process of achieving this is clearly difficult. We must always be able to maximize the potential of the car and ourselves, to win as many points as possible,” he said.

Verstappen certainly needs a positive result at the Canadian GP to widen the gap with Charles Leclerc. Leclerc himself is currently 34 points behind Verstappen.
