Before the U-17 World Cup, Adi Soemarmo Airport prepares

Boyolali, Gatra.com – In anticipation of the 2023 U-17 World Cup, from November 10 to December 2, Adi Soemarmo Airport is starting to prepare. As the entrance to the city of Solo, this airport is maximizing preparations to welcome the Group B teams that will compete in Solo, namely Spain, Canada, Mali and Uzbekistan.

General Manager of PT Angkasa Pura I Adi Soemarmo Airport Erick Rofiq Nurdin said that Adi Soemarmo Airport is the entrance to Solo City, so all facilities and support staff at the airport are prepared.

“We have everything prepared, from airside services, terminals, to landside, arrival and departure flows,” he said on Thursday (02/11).

Erick also ensures the safety and security of flights, both upon arrival and departure. It is for this reason that coordination with the TNI/Polri and local regional governments continues to be ensured.

“We are optimizing coordination with relevant parties,” he said.

Aside from that, Erick added, his party also facilitated the establishment of a help desk in the arrival area to make it easier for agents to direct newly arrived FIFA U-17 participants. Meanwhile, parking for pick-up and drop-off buses will be provided in an area next to the airport station.

“For aircraft parking, we have prepared five parking bays facilitated by Aviobridge,” he explained.
