He successfully beat representatives of 65 countries and won a gold medal in the 800-meter sprint.

Bripka Desjan Siallagan’s return to his homeland was warmly welcomed at the Batam Center ferry port on Thursday (8/10/2023) afternoon. He arrived dressed in a red Indonesian police uniform and was immediately greeted warmly by the public, police officers and officers from Batam Central Port Police Station.

Desjan, as he is affectionately known, also shared the challenges he faced during the sporting event, including the time difference between Indonesia and Canada which affected his resting pace. Apart from running fast, Desjan managed to make Indonesia and the police institution proud by winning a gold medal in the 800 meter sprint. This sporting event is organized for police and fire departments around the world.
