Canadian foreigner found dead in Nyuh Tebel River

KARANGASEM, Balifactualnews.com – The residents of the village of Nyuh Tebel, Manggis district, are in turmoil. The trigger was a foreigner from Canada named Beauchamp Gaston (70) who was found dead in a sitting position in a river near Villa Bayshore, Nyuh Tebel village, a local village, on Monday (11/12), Morning.

Information gathered indicates that before being found dead, the victim, who suffered from paralysis, was seen urinating by his wife around 3 a.m. But towards the morning, the victim’s wife was shocked because she found only a wheelchair in the room located on the third floor of the villa, with a height of 10 meters, while the victim herself- even wasn’t there.

Seeing this state, the victim’s wife was suddenly shocked and immediately called the villa employees to find out the victim’s whereabouts. In short, the search was over. Around 7:30 a.m., one of the employees managed to find the victim dead, his body submerged in the river. Traces of the victim were found after villa employees saw the victim’s sandals floating in the river near the villa.
Head of Public Relations of Karangasem Police, IPTU, I Gede Sukadana, confirmed this. He said it was suspected that the victim died because he fell from the roof on the 3rd floor of the villa.

“Once found, the victim’s wife immediately approached and called the victim, but he did not answer. “It is currently suspected that the victim died following a fall from the 3rd floor of the villa,” he explained.

Sukadana continued, the condition of the victim who was submerged in the river was immediately evacuated by the Karangasem Identification Police with members of the Manggis and Manggis Koramil Police, then the victim’s body was deposited at the Karangasem Regional Hospital morgue for further investigation.

“External examination results showed that the victim’s body had several injuries, such as bruises on the right side of the face and a fracture on the right thigh,” he explained. (tio/bfn)
