Majalengka – West Java International Airport (BIJB) management said the state plane carrying Canadian Prime Minister (PM) Justin Trudeau was to stay overnight (stay overnight / RON) at Kertajati Airport , in the regency of Majalengka. The plane is already at Kertajati airport and will spend the night during the 43rd ASEAN Summit, September 5-7, 2023.
As BIJB Executive Director General Nuril Huda Mahmudan explained, the state plane arrived at Kertajati Airport on Tuesday, September 5, 2023 at 2:12 p.m. WIB. Previously, the plane dropped Prime Minister Justin Trudeau at Soekarno-Hatta (Soetta) Airport, Tangerang, Banten.
“There is already a plane landing and already parked at Kertajati airport is the Canadian Prime Minister’s plane,” said Nuril, in Majalengka, West Java, as quoted by BetweenWednesday, September 6, 2023.

According to the initial plan, the Airbus 3-10 will be parked at Kertajati airport until September 7, 2023. The aircraft will pick up the Canadian Prime Minister who is leaving for his home country on the same date at 06:50 WIB.
“They returned to Jakarta to pick up the prime minister from Kertajati around 06:50 WIB on the morning of September 7. Because they could have ended up there, they immediately flew to Canada,” Nuril said.
He continued that to date, there was no additional state aircraft with RON at Kertajati airport, but his party was still reconfirming to make sure.
Given the information he has received, five planes are expected to stay overnight at Kertajati airport, but it is likely that other state planes will be RON at Soetta airport or other airports alternatives.
“Others may be waiting in Jakarta or other airports. Usually the slots are still available. Then they don’t take too much time for their activities. So maybe the event doesn’t happen. don’t finish,” he also said.

As the live broadcast of the arrival of state leaders was watched from the media center of the 43rd ASEAN Summit at the JCC in Jakarta, the plane carrying Trudeau landed at around 11:41 a.m. WIB.
Trudeau then left the plane door around 11:55 a.m. WIB accompanied by his eldest son Xavier Trudeau.
Trudeau was present at the 43rd ASEAN Summit to build support for the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) and the ASEAN Indo-Pacific Outlook (AOIP) and launch the ASEAN-Canada strategic partnership.
