Deputy Foreign Minister delivers messages from leaders of three countries at 2023 ASEAN Indo-Pacific Forum

Liputan6.com, Jakarta – Deputy Foreign Minister Pahala N Mansury conveyed an important message conveyed by 3 state leaders who attended the ASEAN Indo-Pacific Forum (AIPF), at Mulia Hotel, Jakarta, Wednesday (6/ 9/2023).

“There are three sessions linked to the para Heads of Stateand there are indeed messages or important messages conveyed by para Heads of State“, Pahala N Mansury said at the AIPF Day 2 Results Press Conference.

The leaders of the countries present were Australian Prime Minister Anthony Albanese, Japanese Prime Minister Fumio Kishida and Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau.

Pahala said that in Prime Minister Albanese’s speech it was stated that the Australian Government had launched Invested: Australia’s Economic Strategy for Southeast Asia to 2040, to deepen the Australia’s economic involvement in the ASEAN region and ensuring the prosperity of both countries in the future.

“Of course Prime Minister “Australia said ASEAN is certainly the highest priority region for Australia to develop in the future, where there are four priorities for Australia’s engagement with South Asia “East,” Pahala said.

There are 4 priorities that the Australian government will put forward towards ASEAN. First, continue to build greater awareness. Second, reduce blockages or obstacles that may exist in the development of economic activities between Australia and ASEAN.

The third priority is how to build capacity, particularly in terms of human resources or HR capabilities. Fourth, the priority is to deepen existing investment relationships between Australia and Southeast Asia and vice versa between Southeast Asia and Australia.
