Gibran collaborates with Canadian operators for the development of the Bengawan Solo Science and Technology Culture Museum


SOLO, KOMPAS.com – The Municipal Government (Pemkot) of Solo, Central Java, is collaborating with a Canadian operator for the construction of the Bengawan Solo Culture Science and Technology Museum in Jebres District, Solo.

Solo Mayor Gibran Rakabuming Raka said the reason for cooperating with the Canadian operators was that they had experience in managing the construction of many well-known and famous museums.

“Managing many museums. (Canadian operator) is well known overseas. One of the best,” Gibran said in Solo, Central Java on Wednesday (5/24/2023).

The Bengawan Solo Science and Technology Culture Museum was built on a 5-hectare land using the former Pedaringan (Perumda) regional public corporation.

The construction of the museum was carried out thanks to a grant budget from the Tahir Foundation.

This year, the construction of Bengawan Solo Culture Science and Technology Museum has entered the construction closing and installation stages.

“It has been fenced. Bariki is under construction (after construction). There is a contractor. I am waiting, I hope this year it can be built,” Selvi Ananda’s husband said.

As known, the grand opening of Bengawan Solo Culture Science and Technology Museum in Jebres District, Solo, Central Java was held on Wednesday (25/1/2023).

The construction of the Bengawan Solo Science and Technology Culture Museum will complement the existing tourist destinations in Bengawan City.

Solo tourist destinations include Lokananta, Balekambang Park, Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque, IKM Furniture Factory, Solo Technopark and Solo Safari.
