Medanbisnisdaily.com – Jakarta – Having directed a lot of films does not necessarily make Girry Pratama satisfied with his skills. Girry Pratama will soon move to Canada to study.
Girry Pratama will be flying to Canada to gain additional knowledge and hone his skills in the field of filmmaking.
“Later I will go to a special school in Canada for 2 years. I will study DOP (director of photography) and director. I deliberately want to study,” admitted Girry Pratama in Senayan area, South Jakarta .
The director, who is currently promoting his latest film, The Other Side, considers it important to continue his studies.
“Even though I know I can be self-taught, all I need is paper. Many good self-taught directors don't have paper,” he added.
Girry Pratama really loves the world of cinema. The 35-year-old wants to deepen his skills.
“Yes, because I like (being a director), it is better to study it and deepen it, I will be more of a director in the future,” said Girry Pratama.
In terms of education, Girry Pratama is registered as a Bachelor of Laws degree holder at Tanjungpura University and pursued his Masters of Laws degree at Trisakti University.
In 2017, Girry Pratama became the executive producer of “Snakes and Ladders”. In 2018, he also served as screenwriter and producer of the film “Revan & Reina”, co-producer and screenwriter of “Kain Kapan Hitam” in 2019, and director and producer of “Mango Muda” in 2020.
Starting in 2021, Girry Pratama will become co-producer of Incredible Love and director and producer of Ghostbuser: Mystery of the Penari Village.
