Canadian Open 2023 officially starts Tuesday (4/7/2023). Hendra Setiawan/Mohammad Ahsan became the only Indonesian representative to participate in the BWF World Tour Super 500 tournament.

According to the draw published by the BWF tournament software, Hendra/Ahsan’s path has a good chance of reaching the quarterfinals. The second seed has not encountered any significant obstacles since the first phase.

Hendra/Ahsan is scheduled to compete on Wednesday (5/7/2023) at the Markin Macphail Centre. They are still waiting for the winner of the qualifying round, which will take place on Tuesday (4/7).

If they win, the Daddies will meet the winner of the match between Chen Zhi Ray/Lu Chen (Taiwan) and Krishna Prasad Garaga/Visnuvardhan Goud Panjala (India).

The first match will likely be won by the world number 7 doubles player when they meet Lee Yang/Wang Chi-Lin (fifth seed, Taiwan) in the quarter-finals. But this is also provided that both win in the first and second rounds.
